June 25, 2021
The 3rd Edition artist we saved for last.

We've been featuring our beloved 3rd Edition artists for a few weeks now, and you've met both new and returning artists. In addition, you've seen that our artists have a wide variety of art styles and different cultural backgrounds and come from all over the world.
But you haven't met all of them yet. We saved Hoàng Quốc Thành for last.
Thành has been with RFOX Games since the 1st Edition. Our veteran Koggers know him as everyone's crazy about his 1st Edition Uncommon Staff KOG, Quoc.
He's done our early marketing materials, and he also designed the KOGs you'll see only in KOGs: SLAM! And now he's back for 3rd Edition, giving some of our old favorites a fresh new look.
Without further ado, here's our featured 3rd Edition artist for today, Hoàng Quốc Thành.
Where are you from?
I am from Vietnam
What theme are you working on (in KOGs)?
I did some countries and 8bit in 1st Edition.
For 2nd Edition, I did lands and more 8bit.
For 3rd Edition, I have worked on the RFOX logo in different lands, ranging from majestic landscapes to the most dangerous places on earth.
How did you start in digital art?
I have started drawing since 1st grade, with just a pencil and some notebook pages. I have drawn stills until the end of high school, drawing everything around me. After finishing high school and getting my first PC, I was exposed to Photoshop, starting out by drawing with a mouse. That being way too difficult, I switched over to using vectors and pen tools. I got an iPad to draw on when I was finally able to afford one. That's when I realized that after all those years of using the pen tool, I have lost the ability to draw as I used to. So now, I am starting all over with my journey of drawing again.
Describe your art style in one word.
Since I cannot draw the same way I used to anymore, my style has changed into manipulating images to create awesome new art.
What do you think are the most important characteristics of your art?
The combination of composition, colors, and light.
What's it like working on KOGs?
It's very interesting to get the motive and imagine what to create.
